Pet Butler is proud to announce its newest franchise owners, Susan Curtis and Shannon Spinney of Franklin, TN.
Susan comes to Pet Butler with a successful background in entrepreneurship. She has built H&R Block offices as a franchise owner, throughout the Greater Nashville market since 2001. In 2013, H&R Block implemented a “buy-back” and acquired her three stores, at which point she settled into a consultant and tax preparer role with her existing book of business. Susan’s daughter Shannon is a college student majoring in business management. While Susan will work behind the scenes on the business, Shannon will start as a scooper, and take on additional responsibilities as the business grows in the Franklin area.
Both Susan and Shannon are huge animal lovers — making Pet Butler the perfect fit. Both They both grew up with dogs and cats, all of which were rescues. Susan has fostered dogs from her local humane society for nearly six years and counting, while Shannon has worked with several local Nashville rescues as a volunteer. Like her mom, Shannon has become passionate about the pet industry and has even introduced it to some friends. Together with local rescues, they plan on helping find homes for local dogs in need.
Although Susan considered herself retired, she wanted to find a business to team up with her daughter that would allow them to spend time together doing something they love. After searching for options, she found Pet Butler. Susan came in for a Discovery Day and was impressed by the Pet Butler Support Center – specifically the marketing support they provide for franchise owners. The pair also liked the clear and open communication Pet Butler staff provided, and how quickly they were able to address any questions.
There are many factors that go into becoming a Pet Butler franchise owner. “When I had the initial conversations with Pet Butler, I was impressed with how thoroughly the staff checked me out. That lead me to believe they’re not just going to take anyone to become a franchise owner, and that was very important to me,” said Curtis.
“We are excited to have Susan and Shannon in the Franklin market. We are looking forward to seeing them grow and achieve their goals and dreams,” said President of Pet Butler James Young.
